EMBERS is a southern Black feminist zine collaboration among myself, Fire Dreams co-author and WWAV executive director Deon Haywood, storyteller and Red Cypress Co-op member Camille Roane, and thinking artist Azsaneé Truss. As a creative storytelling team, we are working with the broader WWAV community to identify core stories from Fire Dreams and our Born in Flames Living Archive and translate them into image-rich zines to build together the world that must be.
